Preorders

In case you missed something from our booth at Nijikon or maybe your friends want some too. For all those purposes there is PREORDER.

Here’s the portofolio. You just have to chose and send a mail to

sweet_artshop@yahoo.com with the want-to-buy list.

If you are from Bucharest you’ll have your ordered delivered in person otherwise by mail.

Nijikon is over

… and we’re pretty much exhausted, but it was good.

It was an interesting experience to be part of the Artists’ Alley (and I think this is the first time a ROmanian convention has one, properly organized as such) It was also great to get to meet other artists and everyone we’ve talked to on forums so far.

Unfortunately we don’t have any photos form the convention at the moment, because we were pretty much stuck at our table, but here are a few pics we took on Friday night while packing up products for the next day. Take a look and we will hopefully have them on preorders between November 10-25.

Notebooks (100 pages, plain white. We figured you can use them for anything you like, from a journal to a sketchbook)

Buttons (57 mm with pin)

Postcards (A6 format)

Doujinshi for the D.Gray-Man series

We also had Volume one of the original manga Book Chasers, but I think I shall leave it to Raluca to better explain it in a future post.

We will update soon with the preorders period and ordering giudelines.

Thanks again to those who visited us on the Artists’ Alley, those who kept us company through the weekend and the very helpful volunteers.

PS: We would also like to welcome Sweet Edition’s newest member, Iulia. She was pretty much godsent with all the help she provided at our Nijikon table. We’re looking forward to her collaboration on our next project.

Laura and Raluca.

We’re back

Sorry for the long delay we’ve had out here, both Raluca and I were super-busy with exams and final papers (well, she still is, I got off a little easier this time)

We’ve started working on stuff for Nijikon 2008 already, even though we still need to discuss some details and set up a proper list. Here’s a sample for a D.Gray-Man poster/postcard:

It still needs a bit of work and details, so this is more like a first version of it, but you’ll probably get to see the final one at the con.

We’ll post more as we come up with new material.

WIP and an art shop update

If you missed us at Otaku Fest, here’s some good news: we plan on opening pre-orders this Saturday, for two weeks.

The products available for this round will be the same we sold at Otaku last weekend (at least until we finish new designs) Some previews have been posted in the Shop section, so feel free to check them out and see what they look like in real life.

Commission slots will also be open at the beginning of June, when we finish our exams. Examples and full detail on how to commission artwork from us will be available soon as well.

PS: Thank you for 200 hits :)

Over!

Back from our last day at Otaku Festival and it was all such a great experience. We met and talked to some very talented people and our table had so many visitors we couldn’t even believe it. Thank you, everyone!

If you’d like a few more details on the con itself and some pics taken by Raluca from the art exhibition and yesterday’s cosplay, take a look at the events section.

The art shop will hopefully be up and running this week and we’ll announce pre-orders, so keep an eye on us.

See you again at Nijikon in October

Otaku Fest product preview

OK, so. Otaku Fest starts tomorrow and this is what I’ll be selling (top to bottom: two sets of postcards, set of stickers and pin buttons)

Sorry about the image quality, they were taken in a hurry.

There will also be ten prints of this piece, in A3 format:

Unfortunately I have no preview for it, because it came out of the print shop a little later than the others and was picked up by Raluca Z. The same goes for this set of stickers, which was cut and trimmed by our friend, Iulia *waves*

If you’re interested in Raluca Z.’s products, you can see a full preview here. She’ll also be selling ten Jigoku Shoujo pin buttons:

The two of us will be selling at the Suburbia Club stand, starting tomorrow at 9 AM. If you’d like to drop by, we’ll probably be there for the better part of the day and perhaps on Sunday as well

News

OK, I haven’t updated in a long time, but a lot of things happened that pretty much had me busy out of my mind.

First and foremost: I’ll be attending Otaku Festival in Bucharest this weekend together with Raluca Z
and we’ll both be selling a few things: buttons, bookmarks, postcards and prints. I’m going to post a few samples soon so you can get a general idea of what they’re going to look like.

So, if you’re in Bucharest this weekend and you’re coming to the festival, feel free to drop by.

Aside from that, there’s been a small update in the gallery section (I’m still doing logs whenever I’m bored) and I’ll probably put up an event page as soon as we can get a full report from Otaku Festival.

Small Gallery update in the logs section (one DGM and one Final Fantasy 7 oekaki) I think D.Gray-Man might soon need a separate category, so I went ahead and made it. I caught up with the manga a couple of days ago and it was very exciting to read.

The animation in Bleach 166-167 was… scary. I mean a little more so than usually. This is why I like sticking to the manga instead.

But on another note, I’m into a few new series right now: D.Gray-Man (which I started watching on a friend’s recommendation) and Amatsuki (the manga, since I can’t find subbed versions after episode 1) Also, Bride of the Water God is so pretty it isn’t fair! I haven’t started reading it yet, but the art is stunning.
